Episode 452 - The Volume of the Wolf and Fallow Hurricanes of a Blue Democracy

When Seanorama moved here in the 90's, his brain exploded with the various styles of music he was exposed to that was local and quickly learned that the best music tends to come out of Winnipeg. Here are some of the bands from that era (and more) that educated this East Coaster to the real music capital of Canada.

Caught In The High Beams – Tolerance (1992)

Brother Moon - New Meanies from The Blue Meanies (1995) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Meanies)

Mrs Merry Weather Centre Spoon - Sandozz Minstrells from A Gathering of the Tribes (1994)

Cookie Dough - Red Fisher from War Wagon (1995) (https://www.last.fm/music/Red+Fisher/+wiki)

Bomb Threat At Montgomery High - Bonaduces from The Democracy of Sleep (1998)  (https://thebonaduces.bandcamp.com/)

Hi, I am Sean "SeanGeek" McGinity. And I am a geek. For me, the definition of the word geek comes from liking something so much, that I deep dive into it. Not just consuming it... but becoming it. I "geek out". Everything started with comics. I read them and studied them with a fine eye, and then started making my own. Since then, I have "geeked out" on movies (Star Wars The Evil WIthin, Hurt), music writing, recording, and performing (The Classic Embers and Dome), writing (the Symka comic and the upcoming Intuitives novel), and now... this Podcast.

Hey guys, SeanGeek here. Just to be clear, this is me geeking out on Todd "FastFretFingers" McGinity here. Todd is the GOAT. My brother is an established musician, mastering the Fretboard with a blistering discipline. If there was a guitar style, tone, pitch... Todd would find a way to replicate it. From his early days mastering Van Halen and Rush, his musical palate has expanded with forays into classical and flamenco, hard rock, blues and pop. From live performances to learning the recording process, when it comes to music, he has done it all.

A lover of stories, beer, and cats, and a master of none. Catch me talking to Geek Boy every so often for the latest comic book TV show or movie, Star Wars, board games and other things cool. Hear me give my two cents, relate them to other things I know, and make other recommendations!
