Episode 455 – Going Somewhere near the Superunknown
This week, Sean talks all about singing, prepping, warmups, training and all of the work it takes to perform vocally on stage, at practice and in studio. Sean goes into detail all the steps he took to get his voice where it needed to be while in Dome and Salty Bear, the singers he used as warmups, to the ranges he strove for, to conditioning as a singing drummer, and behind the scenes of the vocals on Dome’s We Are Machine album. We talk about stage banter and the responsibility of the frontperson to the crowd and to the band.
